Personalization + patches is like pouches suiting your personality with your name on it. It is a not just a pouch, it is a fashion statement. It is trendy, quirky and can be made as per your desired style.
Customize your laptop pouch, makeup pouch, travel kits, kids pencil pouches or for your toiletries as per your choice. Somehow we are always in need for more pouches. Organization means a whole lot to us and these DIY personalized patch pouches will make organising look fun. If you are looking for some gift options, they would make great gifts. Everybody wants a little bit of quirk in their life.
I have a whole lot of patches from my DIY Patch Denim Jacket Tutorial. I am always buying if I like them in a store and keep them to use later. Iron on patches can be used at various places on clothes, accessories, denim, purses, shoes, etc. Always advisable to keep some handy. Patches look great for kid related items too.
Select a few patches which you like the most and match well with the colour of the pouches.
I have taken print outs of the names(select the font) since my calligraphy skills arent amazing, but if you are good at free hand, you can just use a marker and write as you please.
Put in your name, a quote, hashtags or company name: something you want to read everytime you open the pouch.
What will you need
- • Black permanent marker
- • A4 size paper
- • pencil
- • patches
- • pouches (I bought them from Daiso Dubai)
- • Iron
Old school method of tracing. Colour with pencil your whole name from behind as shown in the picture above. Now place it on the pouch exactly in the position of how you want your name to reflect. Use tape so it doesnt move. Don’t press too hard, we don’t want pencil marks on our pouch. I did use carbon paper in DIY Personalized Kitchen Aprons which also had adult colouring self made prints. You can refer to that technique too.
Now write your name with pencil (the printed side), it will leave an impression on the pouch.
Go with the impression and use your black marker to darken the name. Go slow and patiently, it is not tough. All you need is focus!
Doesnt it look like the name has been printed on the pouch?
It looks professionally done plus you can add elements you like with it being easy on your pockets. All needed is a bit of effort and creativity.
First, I gave it an outline and then I coloured inside the alphabets with the marker.
This is for my niece who is a bit of a minimalist, so I decided to keep it simple for her with using only one patch.
Iron on the patches. Be very light. Always use a cloth. You can use fabric glue to stick it.
This is how the final product looks! Personalized Patch pouches are ready.
Cover the whole pouch with patches, trace only monograms, play around as you please. The results are definitely leaving a smile on your face.
Your travel pouches don’t need to boring anymore. Give them a makeover!
These Makeup pouches in your purse will draw stares when you do your touchup.
Or making kids personalized pencil pouches with superhero patches/cartoon characters/construction vehicles/fairies would be the coolest!
That’s so much you can do with this particular DIY.
